Bedale Golf Club has a 130-year history on a prestigious 18-hole golf course, set in the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, with a membership of around 550 playing and social members along with a substantial number of visiting golfing parties.

Bedale is a busy market town and popular holiday destination. Bedale has excellent road links, including easy access from jct 51 of the A1M leading you directly to the golf club.

The clubhouse is going through a period of refurbishment, which we expect to be fully completed by early 2026.  With a dining area to seat 60 covers (this can be increased to larger numbers for big events), you will operate from our well-equipped fully fitted kitchen, catering for all types of functions. Whilst the primary function of catering will be to serve members and visitors of the golf club, there are opportunities to expand the catering business, attracting visitors to the club from far and wide.

Key Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the menu and the quality of food that comes out of your kitchen. You will oversee menu and dish design to ensure they meet member and guest expectations and that all food preparations are to the required standards, following processing and delivery guidelines as directed by you.
• You should be prepared to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays, ensuring the efficiency of the kitchen.
• You will be in charge of the hiring and training your kitchen team and also the scheduling of rotas that efficiently cover the needs of service.
• You must ensure the team you employ are fully trained and well presented for the role they perform.
• You will monitor sanitation practices in the kitchen and ensure that all kitchen safety standards are met. This includes checking kitchen supplies, equipment, and working spaces to ensure they are clean and functional. Preserving our Environmental Health Rating for food safety and hygiene is paramount.
• Liaise with the House chair and Office Manager to effectively communicate forthcoming events and/or changes in service levels.
• The production of all promotional material for the catering area, in agreement with the House Chair & Office Manager. You will work with the Office Manager to ensure that any proposed services will not conflict with club activity. All external functions must be agreed with the House Chair & Office Manager in advance of any confirmation with the hirer.

Bedale GC Rabbits Section – annual Armstrong Millennium Rose Bowl Competition, 36 x Rabbits travelled to Hollins Hall Golf and Spa Hotel, West Yorkshire for two days of intense Golf to have the opportunity to win this sort after Trophy, the photo shows Rabbits Captain Chas Luchford presenting the Trophy to Ady Lazenby 2025 Winner, Congratulations, 2nd Pete Robinson and 3rd Steve Smithurst
